Golden

 
Eight years ago today, David was born.

On my golden birthday, as he likes to remind me.

He made me a mama--

More joy than can be expressed--

David is a gift--
He has a sharp mind, and loves to explore the world of learning.
He speaks honestly about his heart-- and feels deeply.
He is cautious and thoughtful.

I was one proud mama eight years ago of my precious baby--
and even prouder today of the little man he has become.
You are loved, David Robert.

As we passed the school supply section of Target the other day, 

David said, "I can't believe it's almost time for me to go back to school."  

To which Xan said, "but it's a big almost, right David?"  Melt my heart.

years since we said "i do"

three precious boys 

 countless priceless memories

many knock down drag outs

our God has been beyond faithful

I'm more in love now than I was then

more laughter, more sweetness

thanks for asking

thanks for loving me despite my ugly -- unconditionally

thanks for being a faithful disciple

thanks for being an amazing father--making it easy for our 3 to view Him as Father
